Terms of Service
Localdock is made and sold by Dmytro Virych (Kharkiv, Ukraine). Buying it means you accept what is written here. It is meant to be readable, not clever.
Who you are buying from
The software is ours. The payment is handled by Creem, who act as the merchant of record. That means Creem is the seller on your card statement and on your invoice, they handle sales tax and VAT where it applies, and refunds are issued through them. Their terms cover the payment itself; these terms cover the software.
What the licence allows
- One purchase covers one person on one device. You can move it to a different Mac at any time by deactivating the old one in the app’s settings.
- It includes all version 1 updates. A future major version may be a separate purchase; if it is, we will say so before you buy it, not after.
- Use it for personal or commercial work — building client projects with it is fine.
- Do not resell, sublicense, redistribute, or publish the licence key. Do not attempt to remove or defeat the licence check.
What the software does to your machine
Localdock lists processes you already own and, when you ask it to, terminates them. Terminating a process ends whatever it was doing, which can mean losing unsaved state in that process. The app asks for confirmation before terminating anything in bulk, and it never targets a process that is not visible in its list. Deciding what is safe to stop remains your call.
It also serves your projects at local addresses on your own machine. By default those addresses answer only on the loopback interface, so nothing is reachable from anywhere else.
You can turn on sharing for an individual project, which makes that one project reachable by other devices on the same network. It is off for every project until you switch it on, one project at a time, and only the projects you switched on are ever served — anything else is refused without saying whether it exists. What you choose to expose, and to whom, is your call and your responsibility.
Sharing a project on the internet
Localdock can also give a project a temporary public web address, on a domain we operate, so that someone who is not on your network can open it. This is off until you switch it on, per project, and the link expires.
Because the address is on our domain, a few things are your responsibility while a share is on. You must not use it to host or distribute anything unlawful, to impersonate anyone, to run phishing or malware, or to serve content you do not have the right to serve. You are responsible for what you expose and for who you give the link to. We may withdraw an address, without notice, if it is being used that way or if leaving it in place would put the service at risk for other customers — and we may do so before contacting you.
Public sharing is best effort and is not hosting. It depends on your Mac staying awake, on Localdock running, and on a third-party network we do not control. It is not covered by any uptime commitment, and it is not suitable for anything you or anyone else depends on.
Availability and warranty
The software is provided as is. We test it, we use it daily ourselves, and we fix what breaks — but we cannot promise it is free of defects or that it will suit every setup. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to what you paid for the licence. Nothing here limits rights you have as a consumer that cannot be limited.
The website and the licence-check endpoint may occasionally be unavailable. The app is built for that: it keeps working offline for 30 days between checks and never locks you out mid-session.

Ending the licence
You can stop using the software whenever you like. We may end a licence that is being redistributed or used to attack the licensing system, and in that case we will refund the unused portion unless the misuse was deliberate.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Ukraine. Where you buy as a consumer, mandatory protections in your own country of residence still apply.
